Our leadership team includes BARRY KRUGER, BARRY J. KRUGER and BILLY FOURIE. We take pride in providing specialised legal services with the highest ethical services of the legal profession. Barry Kruger Snr.

Obtained his BA Law degree at the University of the Free State in 1959 at a very tender age of 20 years!

After completing his articles at Cooper and Sons in Bloemfontein, he was admitted as an attorney at the Free State High Court in Bloemfontein in September 1964, and as a conveyancer and notary public in 1966.

Barry moved to Greytown during March 1972 and joined Nel and Stevens as an attorney, conveyancer and notary public.

Barry now has more than 56 years experience in various fields of the law.

Willem Wouter Fourie a.k.a Billy

Matriculated from Greytown High School in 1965. After completing his nine months army duty, Billy started working at the Master Office in Pietermaritzburg, while studying B.Com at the University in Pietermaritzburg, from 1966 until the end of 1968.

He joined Nel and Stevens on 1 January 1969 and obtained his law degree through the University of South Africa at the end of 1972.

Billy has been with Nel and Stevens for the past 51 years and oversees bonds, investors, trusts, estates, wills and conveyancing and also attends to antenuptial contracts.

Barry Johan Kruger a.k.a Barry Jnr.

Matriculated from Greytown High School in 1984. After attending his compulsory Military training he was employed as a Public Prosecutor for the Department of Justice at their offices in Paul Pietersburg, Kranskop and Greytown. Barry obtained his BProc degree from the University of the Free State in March 1994. He was admitted as an Attorney in March 1996 after having completed his Articles and other admission requirements.

Barry joined Nel & Stevens Attorneys as a Professional Assistant and has been a Partner of the firm since 2000. He has had the right of appearance in the High Court since July 2007.

Barry handles Trusts and has been appointed as Curator. He specialises in Criminal and Civil Litigation. He also focuses on Commercial Law, in particular Deceased Estates. He handles Immovable Properties and the rentals thereof.
